What precautions should be taken when using DC portable silent gasoline generators at construction sites?
On construction sites, DC portable silent gasoline Generators have become an ideal temporary power solution due to their high efficiency, portability and low noise. However, to ensure safety and the normal operation of the equipment, the following points should be noted when using it:
First, safety operation norms
1. Usage environment
The generator should be placed in a well-ventilated, dry area away from flammable materials. Avoid using in enclosed Spaces or near doors, Windows and ventilation openings to prevent the accumulation of carbon monoxide.
Make sure the generator is placed on a flat and stable ground to avoid tilting.
2. Fuel management
Use clean and qualified gasoline. It is recommended to use unleaded gasoline of grade 90 or above. When refueling, it should be done in a well-ventilated area to prevent fuel from overflowing or spilling onto the engine and muffler.
Be sure to turn off the generator before refueling and wait for it to cool down before doing so. If it is not used for a long time, gasoline stabilizer should be added.
3. Startup and Operation
Before starting, make sure the generator is placed stably and there are no debris or flammable materials around. When starting up, follow the correct steps and avoid pulling the starting rope for a long time.
When the generator is in operation, someone needs to be on duty and regularly check the equipment's operating status, including oil level, oil pressure, water temperature, etc. If any abnormality occurs, such as low oil pressure, high water temperature, abnormal rotational speed, etc., the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
Second, maintenance and upkeep
1. Regular inspection
Regularly replace the air filter and engine oil, clean the spark plugs, and check whether the circuits and joints are loose or damaged.
Check the fuel filter screen and air filter element to keep them clean.
2. Long-term storage
If it is expected that the generator will not be used for a long time, the oil circuit switch should be turned off before shutting down the generator. Wait until the generator stops automatically before turning off the start switch. When stored for a long time, the fuel tank should be emptied.
Third, electrical connection
1.Cable selection
Select cables that meet the specifications and ensure they have good insulation and no damage. When laying cables, avoid contact with acids, alkalis and mineral oils. Dragging is strictly prohibited.
2. Wiring specifications
When wiring, make sure the connection is firm and check if the phase is correct. If there is no oil machine switching box, the neutral line of the AC main input of the base station needs to be removed first, and then the cable can be connected.
Fourth, emergency situation handling
1.Emergency shutdown
When emergency situations such as low oil pressure, high water temperature, excessively high rotational speed, or abnormal voltage occur, the oil and air supply lines should be immediately cut off for emergency shutdown.
2. Troubleshooting
After a malfunction or emergency shutdown, a thorough inspection and record-keeping should be carried out. The machine must not be restarted until the fault is eliminated and normal operation is restored.
When using a DC portable silent gasoline generator, strictly adhering to safety operation norms and conducting regular maintenance and upkeep can not only ensure the normal operation of the equipment but also effectively prevent the occurrence of safety accidents.
